A Ceremony of Carols
Angelic voices, crisp diction and the twinkling grace of the harp are all to be experienced in this enchanting performance of Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, marking the centenary year of arguably the most popular 20th century British composer.

Written whilst crossing the Atlantic at the height of U-boat activity during World War II, the eight songs that make up this collection are surprisingly serene: the glistening, silvery sounds conjure images of winter tranquillity.

Surrounding this jewel in the crown will be other inspiring festive works – some familiar, some lesser-known – of which Richard Rodney Bennett's Four American Carols will prove a highlight.

NYCoS National Girls Choir, under the baton of the inimitable Christopher Bell, will be joined by acclaimed Scottish harpist, Sharron Griffiths for an unforgettable performance of celebratory choral music.
