A member of the lute family and descended from the Rabab, the Sarod is one of the most popular and prominent instruments in Hindustani (North Indian) Classical Music, known for its deep, weighty and introspective sound. Ranajit Sengupta is a highly talented performer, composer and lecturer. At a young age, Ranajit has already captured a very respectable place in the hearts of Indian music lovers through his soulful solo performances. Tabla accompaniment is provided by Soumen Sarkar
