The Winter's Tale
Unfounded jealousy rips apart the family of King Leontes of Sicilia and destroys his lifelong friendship with King Polixenes of Bohemia. Realising his error too late, Leontes resolves to spend the rest of his life in humble contemplation, yet all is not lost.

Sixteen years later, the daughter Leontes thought dead has grown into a beautiful young woman, Perdita, having been found abandoned as a baby on the shores of Bohemia, by an honest Shepherd. Her beauty has not gone unnoticed by Prince Florizel, son of Polixenes and the two decide to marry. However, not knowing her royal heritage, Polixenes bars the match, causing the two to flee to Sicilia.

Finally, thanks to the help of a roguish peddler, the truth is revealed. Leontes and Polixenes are reunited and agree the match and their new found joy is further increased by the surprise return of a wronged wife and mother.
