Out of the Silent Movie era and the rising glamor of 1920s Hollywood, this classic show tells of the heart wrenching love story of two of its greatest legends, director Mack Sennett The King of Comedy and creator of the Keystone Kops and his star Mabel Normand.
When simple deli girl Mabel appears on the set of film-maker Mack Sennett, she catches his eye and in time captures his heart. Before long she is bringing magic to the silver screen as his star comedienne; however ambition, rivalry and the impending threat of changing times make for a tempestuous relationship. Whilst their romance is twisted by jealousy, stardom turns to scandal and yet against the odds this unforgettable duo can never escape their love for each other.
