Amplify Theatre, a new amateur theatre company in Norwich, aims to say something about the world we live in, to create theatre that questions the taboos in society and why they are there, and to shine a light on issues pushed to the side, forgotten or even actively avoided.
Using theatre to battle through a haze of British awkwardness and emerge with unashamed expression, the company hopes to start up important discussions in the local community.
Their upcoming double bill production, raising awareness of male suicide features the plays 'Breathing Corpses' and 'Tommy'. Performed at Norwich Theatre Royal's Stage Two, this stigma breaking production is sure to be an evening of moving theatre.
