Butser Archaeology Club - Surviving the Past
BUSTER ARCHAEOLOGY CLUB - SURVIVING THE PAST - £15.00 – Thursday 8th August 2019. 10.30am - 1.00pm
Have you ever wondered how you would cope with living in the past? Ancient people lived in difficult times so they developed deep knowledge of the land and a skillset that would give them the best possible chance of survival. Step back in time to learn those skills and see if you have what it takes to survive the past.
During this fun and educational day with the Butser Archaeology Club we will be looking at the landscape around Butser Ancient Farm to decide the best spot for a settlement. We will talk about natural resources and attempt to turn wood and stone into tools when you will get hands-on, making rope from natural materials, cutting tools from flint and making fire the way our ancestors did.
