Carl Chapple RCA is artist in residence with the international dance company Ballet Cymru, based in South Wales. This exhibition presents a collection of paintings and drawings created since December 2019, responding to dancers in their Newport rehearsal space, and in the painting studio.
Audio described/touch tours will be facilitated by Alastair Sill of Word of Mouth, and will give people with visual impairments an opportunity to enhance their experience of the exhibition, and to discuss pictures and creative processes with the artist.
Set in beautiful grounds on the edge of Snowdonia, Ffin y Parc Gallery presents contemporary art in a relaxed, traditional setting. Drinks and light lunches are available from its excellent coffee shop.
A second exhibition of works from this series will take place at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, in December 2019. Details of the accompanying audio/touch tours will announced shortly. Please see www.carlchapple.com for updates.
