Carleton Sheeplechase is back for its fourth year! This year's race will take place on Sunday 14th July 2019. We're sticking with our tried-and-tested routes and format - two cross-country courses devised by the Big Bad Wolf Rob Potter - a 2.5k fun run for all the family all standards of fitness, and a 10k (ish) race that is a fusion of fell racing and obstacle course racing, that caters for everybody from serious runners to have-a-go heroes. Based in the beautiful village of Carleton-in-Craven near the popular market town of Skipton, on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the concept is a family event that everyone can achieve but will challenge the competitive if desired.
On the day, check-in and registration opens at 9 am. The 10k sets off at 10 am and the 2.5k at 12.30pm.
All profits from Carleton Sheeplechase are going to the local school, Carleton Endowed CE (VA) Primary School. The concept was dreamed up by Rob and his wife Emma, whose children both attend the school. It is being run with the support of the school's governing body, the PTA and Carleton Community Umbrella.
