Plainscapes - Crouch End Festival Chorus

St Andrew Holborn, London, EC4A 3AF
Sat 22nd June 2019
Vaughan Williams's beautiful Mass in G minor is the main work in this concert by Crouch End Festival Chorus.  Also featured are the hypnotic Plainscapes by Latvian composer, Peteris Vasks, for choir, solo violin and solo 'cello; John Tavener's glorious Annunciation; Hymn to the Virgin by Britten; and Bruckner's majestic motets (Locus Iste, Os justi, Ave Maria).  Finally Pearsall's irresistibly sorrowful Lay a Garland completes an eclectic choral programme in the wonderful setting of the Church of St Andrew Holborn.

Violin: Ruth Rogers
'Cello: Sarah Butcher
Conductor: David Temple
