Gudrun’s Sisters

With cut-throat honesty, glorious tunes and wicked laughs Gudrun’s Sisters sing songs of Heartbreak and Harlotry. They'll lull you into a false sense of security with their dulcet tones, but listen closely; these sirens are singing songs of Murder, Adultery and Hard Times.

‘Gleefully Grubby and Quite Magnificent’ Wrecking Ball Press

‘Mellifluous Vocals, lovely and timeless Yorkshire Evening Post’

Gudrun's Sisters are Jacqui Wicks (voice and ukulele) and Seonaid Matheson (fiddle).

Expect a heady mix of influences from Bessie Smith, Alberta Hunter, Ma Rainey, First Aid Kit and Doris Day, forging a sound of 'unrivalled rage and beauty'.
