Walk 11. The Forest’s “Dirty” Heritage

An opportunity to see extraordinary industrial heritage set amidst some of the loveliest forest landscapes. Roman, or even Pre-Roman iron workings that may have inspired the Lord of the Rings stories; the partially restored iron works that produced some of the rails for our early railways; and long abandoned coal tips - and hear how to become a Free Miner!
