WORKSHOP: Mastering Choreography with Aurora Nova

Ever felt stuck when trying to create a routine? Or want to freshen up an existing act and push it to the next level? Or perhaps simply want to know more about what goes into creating an act? Professional contemporary dancer, choreographer and winner of last year's ‘Legend in the Making’ competition, Aurora Nova will be teaching you how to be a master of choreography and give your routines that memorable edge to stand out from the crowd.

In this workshop you will learn how to create unique and authentic movement that flows seamlessly, and explore new ways of devising through various movement exercises and tasks. You will learn a range of techniques to expand your choreographic knowledge and will be given tips on how to draw inspiration for movement, especially for those moments when you’re feeling 'stuck'.

This workshop is for all abilities, movement backgrounds and anyone who has an interest in devising and creation. You do not need to be a performer to participate in this workshop. All techniques and tasks learnt can be applied to all forms of movement styles, whether it’s classic bump ’n’ grind, street dance, theatre, aerial work and everything in between.

All that is required is an open mind and a willingness to try new things!

Please bring/ wear: Exercise/dance clothes - comfortable clothing that you can move freely in. This is a NO SHOES workshop. Water and a notepad/pen
