Walk the Oars

Walk the Oars, Vikings in Scotland is a feast of stories, songs and poems about the meeting of two cultures very much alike. A storytelling, poetry and music performance filled with Viking tales and Nordic myths about the Vikings' arrival in Scotland. Danish storyteller Svend-Erik Engh and Scottish singer/musician Neil Sutcliffe bring you tales of meetings between Vikings and Scots men and women. They also explore how lives were lived on a longship, which have mythical importance to the Norsemen, as well as the stories about the Gods sitting in Valhalla drinking mead waiting for Ragnarök.
The audience will form the crew of the longship as you head for Scotland.  As usual there will be a licensed bar and there will also be a free finger buffet during the interval
