RELEASE 2018 - FORGIVEN Men's Christian Conference
Many of us go through life thinking about what we have done or said in the past, and carry this burden of guilt and shame around with us. But this year's RELEASE FORGIVEN conference is here to help us escape the shackles that hold us back, which can often confine us to a place of darkness.
In our first session, Maggie Gill will show us how the grace of our Lord has redeemed us and set us free, and will begin to introduce us to what the true meaning of forgiveness is. As scripture tells us in Ephesians 1:7:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”
Paul Gask will then bring us his message on how we can ask for forgiveness, how we can receive forgiveness and ultimately how we can truly believe that we have been forgiven, which is often the the hardest part of accepting this gift of grace from God. As 1 John 1:9 tells us
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”
Our final session comes from Graham “Swanny” Swann. Swanny will be talking to us about forgiving others. When we find it hard to, or even refuse to, forgive others, the only person this seems to hurt is ourselves, and this session will show us how, with the help of Jesus, we go about forgiving others. This is perfectly highlighted when Paul tells us this in Ephesians 4:31-32
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you”
So come and join us at the Kings Centre in Wigston for a day that will change lives. We can't wait to see you here!
Tickets just £10 including lunch. Doors open at 9.00am.
Maggie Gill is a Midlands girl. She has spent the last 16 years working in Hong Kong and China, predominantly with men suffering from addictions. One of her greatest passions is to see men set free from addictions and released into the new life the Father has for them.
Graham Swann is a man transformed. Subjected to systematic abuse as a boy, leading to a man controlled by alcohol and violence, Swanny's testimony speaks volumes about how the love of Jesus can and does transform.
Swanny is a passionate evangelist based at the Beacon Christian Centre in Loughborough. He is involved in local social outreach in his community and contributes to a long term mission project in Uganda. To this day, he continues to share his powerful testimony of radical and enduring transformation in schools, churches and prisions.
God bless you all
