Craig Barton, famously known for the "Mr Barton Maths"website and resources, engaging and inspiring speaker, author of “How I Wish I’d Taught Maths”, Director of Education at Eedi and Maths Adviser for the TES will be joining us to deliver a CPD session on problem solving.
Why are some students so bad at solving problems, and more importantly, what can we do about it? Craig Barton will discuss the reasons we sometimes get this wrong, and then present his Four Ingredients of Problem Solving.
Craig believes that these 4 ingredients helps students develop the capabilities to be knowledgeable, creative problem-solving mathematicians, allowing them to tackle those tricky exam questions, as well as so much more.
Along the way you will meet practical, easy-to-implement strategies including how to (and how not to) teach problem-solving.
Who is this for?
