PENARTH LITERATURE FESTIVAL: The Colour of Happy with Laura Baker (Under 5s)

Penarth Library, Penarth, CF64 2YT
Sat 22nd June 2019 10:30AM
Local author Laura Baker presents our special festival story time followed by a craft activity at Penarth Library. Suitable for under 5s.

The Colour of Happy is a beautiful exploration of feelings shown through colour as one little boy navigates a range of emotions - from happiness and excitement to hope and love, all on his way to present a gift to his mum.

Blue is for the calm I feel wandering in the spring.
Yellow is for happy when I spot a special thing.
This book is the perfect introduction to both emotions and colours.

Bio

Laura grew up in Canada with a passion for stories. She followed this passion to attain an Honours BA in English and then moved abroad to Wales for an MA in Creative Writing and an adventure - and she never left! She now lives in a lovely coastal town in South Wales with her husband, son and big basset hound and has been writing and editing award-winning books for adults and children for the last ten years. She loves finding special stories to tell in the everyday, relatable world of a child (or dog).
