This small group workshop is an excellent introduction to the art of telling a traditional story led by Katy Cawkwell who has over 20 years experience of working as a performance storyteller and teaching storytelling (spoken word performance, not writing or reading!)
You are invited to bring a traditional story (folktale, fairy tale, local legend, myth…) that you would like to tell, although Katy will have some material in the workshop to choose from as well.
"Katy is a brilliant workshop leader. She is warm, generous and accessible… She is always focused, covers the ground, and she always finishes on time, but you never feel ruled by her session plans or by the clock. Her commitment to traditional storytelling, her obvious love of the genre, and her skill as a story teller, shine out of every pore. I can’t recommend her courses highly enough to anyone who wants to explore their potential as a story teller." recent participant feedback
