The LIPA Spain Tour was originally founded in 2000 and has since visited many cities across Spain, including Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Murcia, Segovia, Toledo amongst others. The tours traditionally end in the UK, having visited Liverpool, Birkenhead and Manchester in previous years.
The projects collaberates an established Spanish Artist with a band of musicians from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. The tour is run by the leaders of the Artistas Interpretes Ejecutantes programme and management students of the institute who take on the role of tour managers for the project. In the past, the project had worked alongside and with some very large and important companies within the music industry, including Rolling Stone magazine and national Spanish radio stations, and Warner Brothers Record Label to help launch a new Spanish artist.
