Surrey Police Band

The Surrey Police Band is a self-supporting organisation, funded by the subscriptions of its members and from performance fees. The primary aim of the band is to entertain audiences, whilst honouring the service and sacrifice made by Police personnel throughout the UK.

The band was established in 2007 by a small group of Surrey Police personnel with the understanding that their shift patterns would not always allow them to attend rehearsals. This understanding and flexible ethos has attracted people from many walks of life including the police, military, and wider civilian community.

As the band’s reputation has grown, so has the prestige of its engagements. The band’s yearly concert series at St Barbara’s Church in Deepcut, Surrey has significantly developed over the years, and now attracts followers from all over the south east. Furthermore, the band are proud to have been part of opening the new bandstand in Aldershot, as well as having performed in concert with the Band of the Royal Logistics Corps, and on numerous bandstands, including the Eastbourne Bandstand. Most recently, the band were honoured to become the first non-military band to perform in the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Concert at the famous Lakeside Country Club.
