Southampton University Symphonic Wind Orchestra

SUSWO is the only auditioned Wind Orchestra at the University of Southampton and was originally founded by woodwind and brass players at the University. We perform varied and challenging repertoire to a high standard. The orchestra gives a wide range of musicians from across the university the chance to perform in a friendly and talented ensemble. Today the orchestra has approximately forty members and aims to perform three concerts a year. Members are auditioned at the start of the academic year and the orchestra is run by a committee of students who work closely with conductors to select challenging and enjoyable repertoire for each concert.
