The Young Performers

The Young Performers (also known as the YPs) are a 30+ strong team of young people who have a passion for theatre, dance, music and all areas of stage discipline.

Based at the Duchess Theatre of the Chatsworth Arts Centre in Long Eaton near Nottingham, we present all types of productions and events for the entertainment of the community.

The YPs is a long established group with nearly 30 years of repertoire under its belt. From musicals and operettas, pantomime and variety shows to straight plays, charity fundraising and film work ; we continue to produce entertainment for our audiences.

We create all of our own sets and most of our costumes from scratch. our team even write and compose original material (from time to time) and enjoy spending time teaching and passing on these skills to the young and older members of the group alike.
