Worcester Festival Choral Society
Established in 1861, Worcester Festival Choral Society has brought the ‘great choral works’ to the magnificent setting of Worcester Cathedral for more than 150 years.
With a membership of around 150 accomplished, amateur choral singers drawn from across the County and beyond, Worcester Festival Choral Society is one of the leading choral societies in the region. Supported at every performance by professional orchestras and internationally renowned soloists, we attract large audiences to our three annual concerts.
Underlining our choral quality, many of our singers take part in the world-famous, annual Three Choirs Festival, which celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2015, and will return to Worcester in 2020.
Even in this age of digital downloads and music on the web, a live musical performance with orchestra, soloists and choir cannot be beaten in terms of pure joy and symphonic satisfaction.
Worcester Festival Choral Society is fully independent and self-funding, so why not get involved with us now - whether as a singer, a concert-goer or a Patron - and help maintain this tradition for the next 150 years!
