You Can Always Sell Any Dream To Me by Paul Haworth
'You Can Always Sell Any Dream To Me' is a show about the American troubadour Joshua Kadison (he of 90s hits ‘Jessie’ and ‘Beautiful In My Eyes’) by artist Paul Haworth.
Through music and storytelling 'You Can Always Sell Any Dream To Me' explores the work of that rarest of breeds: The Artist Who Stopped. It is about fandom and the way songs grow throughout our lives.
The show involves group singing and the audience being voluntarily blindfolded. It is about an hour long and takes place in the basement space of Burley Fisher, accessible only by stairs.
A new issue of Paul Haworth’s music fanzine Homelovin’ will be on sale to accompany the show.
Paul Haworth is the author of the Silk Handkerchiefs trilogy and Letter to Robin Kinross co-written with Sam de Groot (both published through TRUE TRUE TRUE). He has performed at Battersea Arts Centre, V&A Museum and Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam. His play 'Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer' premiered at Camden People’s Theatre in 2017 and he recently organised 'The I Don’t Need To See That Fair' at Grow Tottenham.
For the avoidance of doubt: Joshua Kadison will not be appearing at Burley Fisher.
The performance will start promptly at 8pm.
