In the desert wastes at the end of time Titus wages war to protect the last bastion of civilisation from the barbarian hordes. But the very principles which Titus stands for will set in motion a chain of events of barely conceivable cruelty. Shakespeare’s first yet most strikingly modern tragedy explodes on to the Pauline stage in a riot of blood, fire and the blackest of comedy.

This production contains scenes of violence that some younger audience members may find distressing and is therefore deemed suitable for those 15 +
