HeART of the Matter Discussion Series - Not Just Part of the Scenery

The next event in our HeART of the Matter discussion series, "Not Just Part of the Scenery" will explore the urgent need to involve local communities in tourism strategies.  This will be an opportunity for tourism sector professonals, local authorities, tourism businesses and community members to learn about best practice, discuss the issues and raise questions.  Delegates will also be able to sign up to a future working group.

Our inspiring and renowned speakers are:

Anna Pollock, founder of Conscious Travel and international speaker on tourism and hospitality

Brendan Paddison, Director of Post Graduate Studies at York Business School and leader of Heritage and Arts Visitor Research Collaborative (HARVC)

Michelle Gorman, Managing Director of Visit County Durham, leading the development, marketing and promotion of tourism across County Durham.

Please see our website for more information about the speakers and the event.

Held in the magnificent Bowes Museum, the day will also include lunch and refreshments, time for networking and free access to the collections.

We want to ensure this event is affordable to all - please choose a ticket price you can afford.  If you can pay a little more, it will help us cover costs for those who would not otherwise be able to attend.
