Car drive from Bishop's Castle or self-drive to the start point at Old Church Stoke.
This walk is an interesting mix of undulating farmland, deep vegetated valley and open moorland with breath-taking views (weather permitting). There are some challenging ascents and some rewarding descents.
From Old Church Stoke, we cross fields, passing and ancient moat near Upper Aldress before dropping dow to follow Marrington Dingle northwards. We continue north above the banks of the river Camlad, through woods and over fields to Stapeley Hill and Mitchell's Fold stone circle. Our route takes us south and east before ascending Corndon Hill with its splendid views. A pleasant, long descent brings us back to Old Church Stoke, past the National Nature Reserve of Roundton Hill (optional extra for those who wish to extend their walk).
