OCEAN WORLD is a story about the world beneath the waves, how have tourism, pollution, rising sea temperatures and oil drilling effected life in the deep?

“It would be more appropriate to call our planet “ocean”, rather than “Earth”, because more than two thirds of its surface is covered with seas and oceans. These have been a constant source of fascination down the ages. The inevitability of the rising and falling tides, the immense power of huge waves crashing against the shore and the strange creatures lurking in the murky depths cannot fail to inspire a feeling of awe.

But the seas and the oceans are under threat. They are perceived as future sources of food, minerals, chemicals and even space. As scientific advances open them up to even higher levels of exploitation and as scarce resources elsewhere in the world become even scarcer the need for greater care is paramount.”

A performance of OCEAN WORLD in the theatre with a Market Place showing sustainable and eco friendly companies and charities in the dance studio.
