Sun 11th February 2018
The Broadway, Cambridgeshire, PE1 1RT

Chris Ingham (piano), Paul Higgs (trumpet), Geoff Gascoyne
(bass), George Double (drums)

We are delighted to present the first concert of the new season

at our brand new venue, the fabulous Broadway Suite at the

Broadway Theatre.

The beloved comic actor Dudley Moore (1935-2002) was also

one of the UK’s most dazzling, swinging jazz pianists and a

composer of wit and depth. Following their acclaimed Hoagy

project, the Chris Ingham Quartet revisit Moore’s music on their

new CD Dudley, with sounds from the fabulous 1960s Decca

jazz trio albums, the TV show Not Only But Also (1965-70) and

the brilliant movie soundtracks for Bedazzled (1967) and 30 Is

A Dangerous Age, Cynthia (1968).

"A vibrant and moving homage...Ingham has a warm and

generous way with music. " DOWNBEAT

"Unfailingly tuneful and spiced with gentle harmonic

guile...Dudley would have been delighted" **** OBSERVER

"Swing, humour and poignancy...a jazz joy" **** MOJO

"The emotional range and depth has resulted in an intimate
and heartfelt pleasure" LONDON JAZZ NEWS
