2018 is the Year of the Sea. Since January, Visit Wales has been celebrating Wales’ outstanding coastline, inviting visitors to discover new epic experiences all around our shores.
Ifor ap Glyn is the National Poet of Wales. Working in Welsh and English, Ifor won the Crown at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 1999 and 2013. His Welsh language poem Blwyddyn y môr 2018 (The Year of the Sea 2018) has been commissioned by Visit Wales and Literature Wales to celebrate Wales’ epic shores in this special year. He’ll be joined in discussion by Culture Minister, Dafydd Elis Thomas, and Literature Wales Chief Executive Lleucu Siencyn on what words and waves mean to Wales.
