Nathen Amin grew up in the heart of Carmarthenshire, West Wales, and has long had an interest in Welsh history, the Wars of the Roses and the reign of Henry VII. His first book ‘Tudor Wales’ was released in 2014, followed by ‘York Pubs’ in 2016. His third book, the first full-length biography of the Beaufort family, ‘The House of Beaufort’, was released in 2017 and became an Amazon #1 Bestseller in three historical categories (Wars of the Roses, Norman England, and The Plantagenets & Medieval History). He is currently working on his fourth book, ‘Pretenders to the Tudor Crown’, due for release in 2019.
Nathen has presented talks on the subject of the Beauforts, the Wars of the Roses, and Henry VII, for several societies and book festivals, including for the Richard III Foundation, Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, Richard III Society, Towton Battlefield Society, Evesham Festival of Words, Llandeilo LitFest, Oundle Festival of Literature, Waterstones Lancaster Historical Writing Festival, Barnet Battlefield Society, and as a Guest Expert for Alison Weir Talks.
He is also the founder of the Henry Tudor Society and has featured discussing the Tudors on BBC radio and television, as well as in print and online media across the UK. He has a degree in Business and Journalism and now lives in York, where he works as a Technical Writer.
