Penelope Skinner’s play The Sound Of Heavy Rain is a tense, vaguely surreal drama with a great twist. Foxie O’Hara has vanished. Maggie is desperate to find her dear friend and fears the worst may have happened. With high expectations she employs a private investigator, Dabrowski. With few clues Dabrowski begins his search. But why is Maggie so unhelpful? What is the true relationship between these two women and what part does Maggie’s fiancé play in Foxie’s disappearance? Dabrowski must fulfil his promise to Maggie but will his own personal crisis and the constant rain prove insurmountable?
