10 Gag Order – Comedy at Cheltenham Poetry Festival Richard James and Nick Mazonowicz.

Smokey Joe's, Cheltenham, GL50 4ED
Sat 27th April 2019
'Destined for comedy from birth' (WeAreSouthDevon.Com) Richard James’ quick wit, strange anecdotes and heckle-defeating one liners are making him a hot ticket. A self-confessed geek, his set includes off-beat observations on science and a sci-fi obsession. 'Richard James is the smiling assassin: he is warm, charming and entirely likeable, but equally sharp and confident ' (Stand Up For Comedy).

Raging against the hypocrisies of politics, the dogmas of religion and the remarkably low burning point of Waitrose artisan pizzas, Nick Mazonowicz represents the raw angry voice of middle England, albeit in a slightly overweight and awkward form. Nick has been performing comedy for over five years now, both solo and with comedy sketch/improv troupe Knowing Smirk, and has performed at festivals throughout the country. ‘A hilarious mix of buffoonery and angry ranting, both intelligent and silly, an absolute delight!’ (Joy-Amy Wigman -- Lemon Rocket Comedy).

Ben Davis smashed it at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival Slam Qualifier with his darkly funny and edgy slam poetry which riffed on the themes of broken hearts and his grandfather's nudism.
