Sue McCreeth's 'Queer Bird' Tour comes to Chesterfield Jazz Club
British jazz singer Sue McCreeth has six critically acclaimed cds to her name, and no less than 27 professionally recorded and positively reviewed original songs. Her songwriting is set work in the international jazz university, Berklee, USA. For this intimate date she teams up with Wendy Kirkland’s own band to perform work from her 2016 release, 'Queer Bird'. This is her most intimate and sultry recording to date, with songs by British composers Stan Tracey and Norma Winstone, Kenny Wheeler and Norma Winstone, Noel Coward, Ray Noble, Frederick Delius and Ralph Vaughan-Williams, as well as a few of her acclaimed self-penned songs, together with a few choice standards.
