Funny Way To Be Comedy – Sophie Willan and Jonny Pelham

Two work in progress shows in preparation for a Radio 4 broadcast and an Edinburgh Preview. Sharp, eccentric and provocative, Sophie Willan (Nominated Best Show at the Edinburgh Festival 2017) has fast become one of the most exciting rising stars in British Comedy.  This is a work in progress show for Sophie’s hugely acclaimed BBC Radio 4 series, Sophie Willan’s Guide To Normality, which is back for a second series in July. Award winning Jonny Pelham is road testing material for his new Edinburgh show.

Funny Way To Be Comedy – Jan Ravens & Stephen Buchanan

Two work in progress shows ahead of the Edinburgh Festival and the comics’ UK wide tours. 14+

Jan Ravens is the star of the award winning BBC comedy series, Dead Ringers. Jan’s unique view of our politics and culture makes her one of the country’s favourite impressionists. Following her record breaking 2017 show Difficult Woman, and a sell out tour with Rory Bremner in 2018, join Jan as she road tests her brand new show for this year.

Glasgow’s Stephen Buchanan won the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award 2018 and, in doing so, followed in the footsteps of some of the British comedy scene’s star names. Stephen was also named as Scottish Comedian of the year last year. His likable personality and self-deprecating material make Stephen Buchanan a hit with the audience and fellow comedians alike.
