Becky Mills and Ruth Angell Folk Duo
Becky and Ruth have played regularly with Folk legend Ashley Hutchings (Fairport, Steeleye Span, Albion Band, Rainbow Chasers, Morris On etc.) in a range of venues from village halls to the Albert Hall as well as in other groups and combinations.
Becky, from North Yorkshire brings a uniquely personal and touching slant to the modern folk genre, covering a kaleidoscope of subjects, with wit, humour, charm and feeling. Billed as a folky female singer-songwriter with a twist. She has recently toured with Ken Nicol of Steeleye Span fame and the premiere of Fairport Beginnings concept at Cropredy Festival in 2017.
Multi instrumentalist and singer songwriter, Ruth hails from the wilds of Derbyshire, one of the influences on her compositions. She has toured with Ashley Hutchings’ Rainbow Chasers, the Larkrise Band, and from time to time guesting with the Morris On Band. More recently she played support to Rufus Wainwright III in the Albert Hall tribute to Sandy Deny singing Who knows where the time goes.
