The Comedy Mill (February)
Stand-up comedy night @ The Mill, Ulverston
This night consists of four brilliant and hilarious comedians. These comedians regularly perform at the top comedy clubs throughout the country, are award winning and most importantly are bloody hilarious!
The line-up is:
MC - Ben Briggs
Ben started stand-up comedy in 2008 and quickly established himself as one of the hardest working comedians in the country. In his first year he clocked up over 120 gigs and made it to the final of The Hilarity Bites new act competition and won 2 Funhouse Comedy Gong Shows. His likeable stage presence and sharp material has made him in demand as an act and compere up and down the country and saw him reach the Final of the Midlands Comedian of the Year Award in 2011.
"A solid act" - Chortle
"Laughter packed material" - One4review
Opener - Radu Isac
Romanian stand-up comedian who has successfully made the transition into English speaking comedy. Known in Romania as a comedians comedian, in 2015 he decided to move to London and, in his own words, became just an unemployed person with a hobby.
"Certainly impressive" - Beyond the Joke
"Simulataneously sweet and dark" - Chortle
Middle Act - Darcie Silver
Darcie has been described as one of the most exciting new comedians on the circuit. With an eclectic mix of one liners and longer jokes, she has proved to be an audience favourite. Darcie's style is probably best described as somewhere between Gary Delaney and Michael McIntyre.
"Very funny stuff" - Russell Kane
"Very talented joke writer" - Gary Delaney
Headliner - Caroline Mabey
On the circuit since 2005, Caroline skilfully combines edginess with eccentric charm and mischievous banter with strong gags. This, along with her delightful audience interaction make her an ideal compere – she is currently the resident MC at the 99 Club, in London.
"Fabulous off-the-wall lines… will endure in the memory long after you’ve forgotten every word from the big-name stand-ups" – Chortle
"The slightly deranged offspring of a menage a trois between Vic Reeves, Harry Hill and Floella Benjamin" – Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard
Please note the line-up is subject to change. If you are coming to see a specific act then please contact us nearer the time to confirm that the act is still performing.
Tickets are £10 each.
