Peakland Players - A Wilde Evening

Tue 2nd July 2019 7:30PM
Ashbourne Town Hall, Derbyshire, DE6 1ES
The popular local theatre company Peakland Players presents a collection of short radio plays adapted from the stories of Oscar Wilde, directed by Peter Francis.

Oscar Wilde is best known for his epigrams, plays and novels; with theatre companies both professional and amateur putting on productions all over the globe every year. Less well known are his short stories. These tales, as is so often the case with prose originally intended for children, are written with a narrative rich in texture and contain powerful, layered messages.

There are no “stories for children”, only “stories”. Peakland Players recreate these wonderful stories from one of the world’s greatest writers.
