The Yukon Assignment (12A) Father's Day at the RBCFT

Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre, Dumfries, DG2 7BE
Sun 16th June 2019

The perfect film for Father's Day - a father and son undertake a 500-mile canoe trip through the Canadian wilderness.

British adventurer Chris Lucas and his actor father Niall, depend on each other for survival, as they canoe down one of the most remote rivers in Canada. The Yukon Assignment is a breathtaking exploration of one of the Earth’s last wildernesses and the story of how adventure can bring us together, irrespective of age.
So often in modern life, we make no time to simply experience this, plans are put off, excuses are made, opportunities passed. This film is the antithesis of this lament, inspiring audiences to take action, to seize the opportunity to make time for the important relationships in their life, to embrace the unknown, and to strike out on their own adventures.
