Short Story Factory at Shambellie House

Sat 1st June 2019
Shambellie House, Dumfries, DG28HQ
Create a short story from scratch in one day!

This June, join experienced and published writers Kerrie McKinnel and Steph Newham for this one-day workshop in historic Shambellie House.

In this relaxed and welcoming workshop, you will be guided through the process of creating your own short story - from first ideas through to a completed piece. But don't panic! We'll be using a mixture of games and straightforward writing prompts to get our brains moving - trust us, you'll barely even realise you're writing a story until you're halfway there!

Everyone is welcome, from beginners and nervous writers through to more experienced writers who are looking for inspiration and to network. This will be a practical and engaging day, in an atmospheric and unique venue.

SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for adult writers and wanna-be writers of all genres and abilities. Beginners and nervous writers welcome.

TICKET PRICE includes tea/coffee and a donation towards Shambellie House Trust (Company reg no. 507404 and charitable status SC024140).

Please bring a packed lunch.
