The Mill on the Fleet, Gatehouse of Fleet, DG7 2HS
Fri 3rd May 2019
Actor and writer Karin Fernald returns to BIG LIT with another spell-binding recreation of a character and a historical period. This year it’s a dramatised talk about Florence Nightingale that brings to life some of her passions, ideas and preoccupations before, during and after The Crimean War - illustrated with letters, diaries, paintings, sketches and portraits from The Florence Nightingale Museum.

“Maid of all dirty work (... ) or, the Nuisances Removal Act, that’s me.” Florence Nightingale.
