A talk by Peter Mitchell, son of Jack Mitchell, author of "When The Boat Comes In", about the original TV series, adapting it for the stage & writing the recently published book 4, 'Jack High' which had been envisaged by his father.
"When the boat comes in" was a 1970s TV series set in the North East in the aftermath of the first world war. Peter is a former Low Fell resident and will be at Low Fell Library to talk about the original series and adapting it for the stage. He will also be reading from his new novel “Jack High” which continues the story of Jack Ford found in the original three books. He will also be signing copies of his book.
