Following Vivo D'Arte's highly acclaimed immersive, promenade production of Sweeney Todd, we are excited to return to the Frogmore Paper Mill this summer with not one, but two promenade productions: La Bohème and Rent.
Two works based on the same story; this is an opportunity to become immersed for both the performer and the audience in two genre’s. Bridging the gap between opera and musical theatre.
Rent will be directed by Vivo D’Arte’s artistic director, Amy Quinlan-Dunstall and musically directed by Erika Gundesen. We welcome our patron Jeff Stewart back to direct La Bohème and we are incredibly excited to welcome Professor of the Royal Academy of Music and coach of the Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Audrey Hyland to the team, who will be musically directing La Bohème for us. We are thrilled to have Andrea Campusano as choreographer for Rent.
We will have two separate casts rehearsing alongside each other with many of the ‘Rent’ cast performing in the ‘Bohème’ chorus scenes.
