An Audience with the King’s Singers

We are delighted to welcome The King’s Singers to Highgate for ‘An Audience with The King’s Singers’, the first performance in our International Concert series. A “superlative vocal sextet” (The Times), The King’s Singers are renowned for their richly diverse musical repertoire, as well as for their intimate performance style. The evening’s programme will explore music from across the world, with works by composers including Orlando Lassus, Camille Saint-Saëns and The Beach Boys, as well as a joint surprise piece with our very own Highgate Chorale.

The King’s Singers were formed in 1968 by six newly graduated Choral Scholars from King’s College, Cambridge. Since their formation, they have wowed audiences from around the world with their sophisticated, energetic and entertaining performances. They have commissioned compositions by John Tavener and John Rutter (both Highgate alumni), as well as Toru Takemitsu and Eric Whitacre. Their outstanding concerts and inspiring workshops have gained them two Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, and a place in Gramophone magazine’s inaugural Hall of Fame.
