Ukulele for beginners
Join Marco on a Sunday afternoon to learn how to play the ukulele - this is a beginners group.
With a fun and varied repertoire of songs, there is no need to be able to read music. However a sense of humour and a joining in attitude helps! This class is suitable for complete beginners or those who need confidence building and is open to all ages. There are some optional opportunities for public performances once you have gained some confidence.
You do not need to own your own ukulele initially and there is a chance for you to see a wide variety of ukes used by members of the uke club. After a few weeks you can then decide which one would be right for you to buy. Music sheets are provided, however you may find it helpful to bring a folder and a music stand along (or you can simply use a table).
If you would like to join the beginners but want to find out more please contact Gwen on 07710 162504 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Class runs termly, Sunday afternoons 1pm until 2pm in the music room at Horndean Technology College. Members of the beginners class are invited to stay for the club session which runs until 3pm. This gives you a chance to practice!
This term lasts for 9 weeks, with a half term break in the middle (please note there are also no lessons on bank holiday weekends and some performance sessions are held off site).
Sunday 28th April to Sunday 14th July.
