Huddersfield Library, Huddersfield, HD1 2SU
Sat 9th March 2019
Lisa Luxx is delivering a one-off poetry workshop and creative writing session for anyone who has been affected by adoption. This might mean that you were adopted, that your sibling was adopted, your child adopted or you adopted a child yourself. Open to 18+ and all levels of writing experience.
We will explore themes together around adoption, while honing our writing skills and finding each person’s unique voice.

Lisa Luxx is a poet, performer, essayist and poetry educator of British Syrian heritage who was adopted too. Her work is published in anthologies, journals and newspapers internationally and she has performed at literary events across the UK and Middle East including shows at Royal Albert Hall, Latitude festival and as part of the UN Women’s #HeForShe campaign.
