Mid Summer Bat Walk and Talk 2019

Sat 27th July 2019 8:30PM
Abbot's Mill Project, Kent, CT12AW

Join us for our regular bat walk and talk on our site along the beautiful River Stour in the heart of Canterbury.

Shirley Thompson from Kent Bat Group will guide us on a tour of the local area, teaching us about bats and their habitat.

Shirley will tell us why these wonderful creatures are a bio-indicator species.

We will listen for bats using the bat detectors and, if we are lucky, we will encounter some bats as they go about their evening activities :)

This is a family-friendly event, all are welcome. We just ask that everyone stays with the group and is as quiet as possible when we are trying to detect the bats.

Please wear sturdy footwear and bring warm clothes and waterproofs just in case!
