The Handmaiden (2016)

With help from an orphaned pickpocket (Kim Tae-ri), a Korean con man (Ha Jung-woo) devises an elaborate plot to seduce and bilk a Japanese woman (Kim Min-hee) out of her inheritance.

South Korean director Park Chan-wook relocated Welsh writer Sarah Waters’ 2002 novel Fingersmith from Victorian England to 1930s Korea which was under Japanese colonial rule.
