Haydn ‘Seven Last Words’
Haydn considered his Seven Last Words to be one of his greatest works superior to either of his later oratorios, The Creation and The Seasons. It is performed in its most popular quartet setting by the illustrious Brodsky Quartet.
Meditative music on sitar and tabla is interwoven with Gesualdo Responses sung by the handpicked voices of Tenebrae Consort.
"What is so striking about the Brodsky Quartet is their brimming love for the music." Gramophone Magazine
Tenebrae Consort, described as "phenomenal" (The Times) is an exceptional group of musicians, with singers handpicked from the award-winning choir Tenebrae.
