St Martin's Church, London, NW10 5SN
Sat 2nd July 2016

The BSO Summer Concert

Conductor: Levon Parikian

Leader: Adrian Charlesworth

  • Berlioz, 'Le corsaire' Overture
  • Holst, St Paul's Suite
  • Strauss, Serenade in E-flat for Wind Instruments
  • Berlioz, Symphonie Fantastique

Join Brent Symphony Orchestra for their summer concert which opens with Berlioz's dashing concert overture Le corsaire and showcases the principal sections of the orchestra in Strauss's Serenade for Wind Instruments and Holst's St Paul's Suite.
Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique sounds every bit as mind-blowing today as it did two centuries ago and brings the concert and our season to a sizzling finale.

The 2015/16 season is the Brent Symphony Orchestra’s 105th year. We aspire to perform the finest orchestral music, bringing together pieces you may well have heard of, together with something new. Recent concerts have featured symphonies by Elgar, Bruckner, Mahler, Nielsen and Vaughan Williams; concertos by Sibelius and Strauss and also work by Mozart, Ravel and Stravinsky.

Brent Symphony Orchestra is a registered charity no. 802678.
