Lions and Donkeys & Goodbye Iphigenia

A Double Bill of One Act Plays

LIONS AND DONKEYS by Steve Harper, Directed by Neil Lovegrove - featuring adult cast
A rarity – a story set in the trenches which includes a fair amount of comedy! In September 1918, on the Western Front, Tommy and Dave receive an unexpected visit from Lieutenant Hargreaves. And who is that strange Icelandic chap who enters brandishing a sausage?

GOODBYE IPHIGENIA by George MacEwan Green, Directed by John Foreman - featuring young cast
It is around 400 BC in ancient Greece, the Greek armada of 1,000 ships is bound for Troy to rescue Helen, but has been becalmed for weeks near the Aegian island of Aulis. Only Princess Iphigenia, daughter of the King, can raise the wind, but there is a high price to pay.

Both of these go forward to the regional One Act Play festivals
